Goal Setting

At My Care Pro, we recognise that goal-setting is a crucial component of NDIS Psychosocial recovery coaching. It allows individuals to identify and work towards their desired outcomes, with the support of a trained professional. Our coaches work collaboratively with individuals to create meaningful, achievable, and measurable goals that align with their recovery plan.

The goal-setting process begins by exploring the individual's values, interests, and aspirations. Our coaches encourage individuals to identify specific goals that support their recovery journey, encompassing different areas of life such as mental health, physical health, employment, education, relationships, or community involvement. We also help individuals prioritize their goals and break them down into manageable steps.

Our coaches ensure that the goals are SMART - Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. We work with individuals to develop goals that are clear and unambiguous, include quantifiable targets to help track progress, are realistic considering the individual's abilities and resources, align with their values and interests, and have a set deadline to provide motivation and accountability.

We also help individuals anticipate potential challenges and develop strategies to overcome them. We encourage individuals to celebrate their successes, learn from their setbacks, and adjust their goals accordingly. Regularly reviewing and adjusting goals helps ensure they remain relevant and achievable.
